2008 Harvest

2008 harvest began in early June with the German chamomile, the melissa, peppermint, English chamomile and lavenders have followed on. August started with some wet and stormy weather and this slowed harvesting slightly.

Herb distillation continued on and off well into October this season which is much later than normal and we had to fit it around all the other crop harvesting on the farms We have also distilled many other products for other growers such as lavender, Thyme, Sage and Lovage. Angelica roots were distilled in early November, along with some more lovage leaves and a root trial. Quality has been generally quite good with the distilleries great steam capabilities excelling in the damp times. Yields have been variable but in general it looks as if they are down again which will see some products in short supply For wholesale pricing contact us at [email protected] and for small bottle purchases visit our on line ordering page.
