Create your very own ‘Home Spa’ experience with Norfolk Essential Oils

Living in this fast paced generation leaves little time to ourselves for relaxing and truly unwinding. It’s important to dedicate some time to our own health and wellbeing. Bring the luxury of the spa into your home, by following our simple steps, to have that luxurious at home experience without leaving the house. An evening to yourself for some much need pampering, or indulge together for a sensual home spa experience.

Preparation is key

Starting your spa experience at home find the perfect place to relax, starting with a soak in the tub or aroma shower, then for the pampering in the bedroom/dressing room or the sitting room. Get them ready with all the different products you’re planning to use. Oils for diffusing or droplet in the bath, bath salts, bubble bath, luxury soap, cleansers, exfoliators, moisturisers and oils to name a few.

Make sure you allocate a nice amount of time. Pick a relaxing mindful playlist to begin the journey to help relax and unwind. Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and even You Tube along with many other streaming sites have some great choices for the perfect soundtrack to your Home Spa evening.

Atmosphere

Crank up the atmosphere, you’ve already added the soundtrack to your home spa pamper time, turn the lights down add some candles. Candles have a dual purpose, building the atmosphere with the gentle flickering of candle light, but also dispersing aromas help transport you to the perfect home spa experience. From large candles to lots of small candles, these can transform your home to the more home spa type feeling.

Add your Aroma – Essential Oils

Adding aromas to your home spa can be done in many ways, let’s take a look at them. 

1. Straight essential oils can be used, a single oil or a blend into a diffuser or candle burner (following the instructions for your diffuser). An effective way to disperse an intense aroma through your home spa pampering session. 

2. Adding a few drops of your favourite essential oil or your favourite blend to warm bath water for a relaxing aromatic experience. Adding the oils to Epsom salts or a carrier can assist dispersing the oil throughout the bath. Alternatively add some Himalayan essential oil infused salts, to further enhance the aroma. 

3. For those with only a shower you can put a couple of drops in the bottom of a steamy shower for a sensual shower experience inhaling the aromas filling the shower.

Add some products

Add to your bath/shower with some luxurious products to compliment the home spa experience.

Try out the sumptuous shampoo bar, beautifully lathering, greats aromas sustainable made using renewable energy leaving your hair feeling squeaky clean and smelling gorgeous.

Wipe over using a cleanser, using our own essential oils and floral waters we have created an earthy scented, deep cleaning cleanser, wipe over the skin and rinse off.

Finalise with a soft light yet nourishing moisturiser, prompting benefits to the skin by including our English Oils known for their great properties.

Alternatively, if you are confident in knowing your concentrations of safe levels, build your very own massage Oil. Chose your base and then select the Essential oils that you love, blend together and you have a personalised oil you can use all over the body to nourish the skin, or use as a massage oil.

English Chamomile – Anthemis nobilis, is a herb renowned for its various beneficial properties covering a wide range; Calming and relaxing, sleep aid, anti-inflammatory, digestive, antibacterial, allergy relief, mood enhancement, and natural muscle relaxant are all areas where it is suggested the English chamomile has had benefits. 

Frankincense – It has been used for centuries in various cultural and religious practices and is known for several therapeutic and aromatic properties. A warm, earthy, and slightly sweet aroma that is often used in aromatherapy to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and create a tranquil atmosphere. It has been used in religious ceremonies and rituals for centuries. It is associated with spirituality, meditation, and prayer in various cultures. While frankincense oil has a rich history and is generally considered safe for most people, it’s essential to dilute it properly before applying it to the skin as with all essential oils.

Patchouli – A common ingredient found in perfumes a popular base note, with a distinct aroma known for its grounding properties. Historically it has had many uses in traditional medicine, in the modern world it has many application in a number of industries and remains a popular choice.

Geranium – It is renowned for its pleasant floral scent and versatile uses in aromatherapy, skincare, and other applications. The aroma of geranium oil is believed to have various therapeutic effects. It is often used to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and balance emotions. Some people find it uplifting and mood-enhancing.
